On this experience, you will enjoy a unique journey that connects Andean culture, gastronomy, and traditions. We begin with hotel pick-up in Otavalo and set out to discover some of the region’s most authentic and traditional practices.
Our first stop is Magic Mill, a local initiative where you will learn about the ancestral corn-grinding process and have the opportunity to prepare your own fresh juice using a blender bicycle in a fun, interactive, and authentic activity.
We then continue to the Sara Mama Community Enterprise, where you will discover the history of chicha de jora, an ancestral corn-based beverage produced using techniques passed down through generations. Today, its production has evolved into a modern, industrialized process that complies with quality and hygiene standards while preserving its traditional essence.
As part of this experience, we will also travel to Cotacachi to stroll along the traditional 10 de Agosto Street, where you can observe the craftsmanship of leather artisans and meet local producers.
Finally, we return to Otavalo, where our services conclude.
