During the visit, you will explore a coffee producers’ association and a coffee farm, where you will learn about the work of local farmers and the important role that community organization plays in strengthening coffee production and supporting the sustainable development of the region.
Throughout the experience, you will discover the journey of coffee from plant to cup. Producers will explain the cultivation and harvesting processes, the initial stages of bean processing, and the roasting process at different roast levels, which brings out the coffee’s distinctive aromas and flavors.
You will also learn how coffee produced in Intag reaches local, national, and international markets, highlighting the value of community work and the quality of the product.
After the visit, you will enjoy lunch in the Intag area, where you will have the opportunity to taste local flavors in a beautiful natural setting.
Finally, in the afternoon, the tour will return to Otavalo, concluding this experience that offers a closer look into the world of coffee and the daily life of the local farming communities.
